In modern life, work and play are often stripped down to output, convenience, and consumption. We're interested in what changes when these activities remain tied to skill, responsibility, and trust - with others and the environments they depend on - and what's lost when that connection erodes.

Much of life now happens at a distance, mediated by screens and schedules. This work examines what changes in our region when people spend more time engaging with real conditions and less time managing representations of them.
